MBA aspirants will have to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) for the session 2014 on either of the two days - November 16 and November 22.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) - Indore will conduct the exam this year. The registration process will start August 06 onwards.
Important Dates :
Online Registration Starts from : 6th August 2014Last Date for Online Registration : 30th September 2014Download of Admit Cards : 16th October 2014 Online Exam Dates : 16th November 2014 and 22nd November 2014Tentative Dates of Results : 3rd week of December 2014 Total Duration of the Exam : 2 hours 50 minutes
Important Changes : CAT 2014 Aspirants will get 30 minutes more to attempt the questions. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, the organization which is conducting the online CAT Exam for the year 2014 has announced that the time of the CAT Exam has been increased to 170 minutes (Until CAT 2013, the time for the exam was 140 minutes). Henceforth, in sections of Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, you will have to answer 50 questions each instead of earlier 30.
To be eligible for appearing in CAT, candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA [45 per cent in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (It may also referred to as Persons with Disability (PWD) category)], awarded by any of the govt recognised universities.
After getting the CAT scores candidates get selected at one of the 13 IIMs or other institutions on the basis of their performance at Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI) conducted individually.
